Export your Caisse d'Épargne transactions

How to download the transactions of your Caisse d'Épargne account to import them into personal finance software, a spreadsheet or our app, and which format to choose.

Download your transactions from Caisse d'Épargne

  1. Log in to your Caisse d'Épargne online banking.
  2. From the accounts summary, click “Gérer”, then “Télécharger les opérations” in the account menu. From an account's details, the “Télécharger les opérations” link is on the right of the screen.
  3. Choose the format, the period and the “;” field separator, then start the download.

No “Gérer” button? Turn on “Fonctionnalités avancées”: click your name at the top right, then “Autres réglages”. These steps are for individuals and sole traders; other customers are asked to contact their adviser.

Formats offered

  • CSV: spreadsheet, or direct import into the app
  • OFX: standard format of personal finance software (Money, GnuCash…)
  • QIF: older Quicken format, still read by many programs
  • PDF: statement to read or print, unreadable by finance software

Caisse d'Épargne offers OFX: that is the format to choose for personal finance software. For our app, CSV, OFX and QIF all work.

Frequently asked questions about exporting from Caisse d'Épargne

Over what period can I export my Caisse d'Épargne transactions?
You choose the period when downloading; the history available depends on your bank and contract. To keep track of your accounts, export regularly, for instance every month: when importing into our app, transactions already entered are detected and not added twice.
What about deferred debit card payments?
Deferred debit card payments are only debited from the account once a month, in a single payment. Depending on your bank, their details are downloaded from the account or from the card page. In our app, a deferred debit card is a separate account whose total is debited automatically from the current account.
Can I import a Caisse d'Épargne PDF statement?
No: a PDF statement is meant to be read or printed, not imported. Download your transactions in a data format (CSV, OFX or QIF) by following the steps above instead.
CSV or OFX: which format should I choose?
OFX is the standard format of personal finance software: it is read without any setup. CSV opens in a spreadsheet, but each bank lays it out its own way. The free converter turns a CSV or QIF into OFX, and our app's import accepts all three formats.
